Note from the CEO
September 2025
September marks Hunger Action Month, a time when food banks across the country unite to raise awareness and inspire action. At the Food Bank for Larimer County, we’re doing more than just calling attention—we’re inviting you to be part of real change.
This year, the need is urgent. Due to recent legislative shifts, some of the safety nets that once supported our most vulnerable neighbors have been reduced or eliminated. As a result, more families are turning to us for help—often for the first time. This is a moment when community action matters more than ever.
Throughout Hunger Action Month, we’re hosting opportunities to learn, give, and advocate. From the events we’re planning and hosting ourselves (the Taste Walkabout and on-demand facility tours) to events our friends in the community are hosting to support our efforts (Tellus Giveback Weekend and Blue Moose Art Gallery Month of Giving), there’s something to interest everyone.
Visit our Hunger Action Month page to see how you can join us—bring a friend, bring your voice, and be part of something meaningful.
Ending hunger isn’t the work of one organization. It’s the power of many, united in compassion and determination. Whether you give your time, your voice, or your resources, you are part of a collective solution. Every meal served, every policy changed, every voice raised brings us closer to a future where no one in Larimer County goes hungry.
Let’s rally together this September—and keep the momentum going long after.
