Join Us for the 2017 Corporate Food Fight!

Corporate Food Fight - Food Bank for Larimer countyJoin the Food Bank for Larimer County for the 18th Annual Corporate Food Fight this April. One of our signature fundraising events, the Corporate Food Fight challenges local businesses to raise food and funds for the Food Bank for Larimer County to help us feed families, children, and seniors in need in our community.

The challenge spans the entire month, but each company designs their own campaign timeline and style. Some participants do a basic and simple food drive or have a food-based event such as a bake sale or chili cook-off – others get downright creative and do things like executive tricycle races or have genuine food fights! The more engaging and fun, the better! Businesses can also elect to set up an online portal to capture donations and encourage customers, families, and friends of employees to campaign on behalf of the business as well.

Recognition will be given for businesses who win in the following categories:

  • Overall Champion – 1st Place Winner
  • Impact Champion – 2nd Place Winner
  • Corporate Champion – 3rd Place Winner
  • The Newcomer Champion – Awarded to the top new business
  • The Golden Apple Champion – Bankers and financial institutions compete amongst themselves in the Golden Apple category

During the 2016 Corporate Food Fight, 30 businesses of all sizes from around Larimer County participated. These Corporate Food Fighters raised $161,116 and 5,678 pounds of food for those in need in Larimer County. This year we aim to do even more.

We will celebrate with a kick-off breakfast on March 21, 2017 and will conclude with a closing ceremony at the end of the campaign to announce winners and thank participants.

Not only is participating in the Corporate Food Fight a great way to make a difference in our community, it is also a good team-building activity. Additionally, participating businesses will receive social media recognition, listing in the post-event press release, listing on the Food Bank website, and recognition in a post-event thank you ad in The Coloradoan.

No matter how big or small your business is, we encourage you to join us in the Corporate Food Fight to reduce food insecurity in our community. If your business would like to participate, please email Julia Halualani for more information and to sign up.
