Food Link
The Food Bank partners with over 85 non-profit organizations in the community including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, snack programs, childcare and residential programs and centers for the disabled. The Food Bank provides quality food to our partner agencies at extremely low prices ($.19 per pound or less and produce is free). These agencies, in turn, distribute the food and/or provide meals to low-income and at-risk populations. Each year, our Food Link program saves our partner agencies over $2 million in food costs allowing them to direct these savings toward programming.
Our agencies can shop Monday – Friday from 8 am to 2 pm.
Guidelines for Food Link agency membership include:
- Agency must have a 501(c)(3) Federal non-profit tax exempt status
- Agency must have a Federal Employer Identification Number
- Agency must provide services to the ill, elderly, needy or children under 18 years of age.
- Agency must have, or be prepared to have, adequate dry cooler and/or freezer storage to ensure wholesomeness of food until used or redistributed.
If your organization fits these criteria, and you would like to receive food for your programs, please email Liz Donovan, Nutrition and Programs Manager, to receive an application, or for further information about becoming a partner organization.
