If you’re looking for a way to give back this holiday season, here’s a quick breakdown of the ways to provide the most impact in fighting hunger!
- Give a financial gift
With the Food Bank’s purchasing power, every dollar donated can help us buy enough food for two meals.
There are several ways that you can give:
- Visit the Food Bank’s Colorado Gives Day page. The fundraising campaign kicks off November 1, culminating with Colorado Gives Day on December 9. Every dollar raised through Colorado Gives Day helps us to capture more of an incentive fund.
- In partnership with our Feeding Colorado partners, we’ve created a Government Shutdown Response Page to help Food Banks respond to the increase in demand. You can find that page here.
- Join Feeding Us Forward and become a monthly donor. Your monthly donation sustains our mission and fosters our ability to provide a consistent source of nutrition for our clients. Learn more here.
- Round up at your King Soopers register! From Nov. 1 to Dec. 7, you can round up your purchase to give to your local food bank. This effort is part of 9Cares Colorado Shares — a partnership with 9News, King Soopers and the five Feeding Colorado food banks.
Giving to the Food Bank offers many benefits. Not only do you contribute to fighting hunger in Larimer County, but it’s a great way to receive a tax benefit. It’s important to note that donations do take time to process, so please give before the end of December to have your contribution processed by the end of the year. This includes IRA and QCD gifts!
2. Host a food and fund drive

3. Volunteer
This holiday season, bring your family and friends and lend a helping hand at our No Cost Market locations or our kitchen, where meals and snacks for kids and seniors are prepared.
