We are grateful to our partners at Walmart and Sam’s Club for their support in the 11th annual fundraising campaign. The 2024 Fight Hunger. Spark Change. event kicked off April 1. The campaign runs through April 29 and takes place in stores, clubs and online.
Since its 2014 inception, this campaign has raised $186 million to help Feeding America food banks provide nutrition to people across the nation.
Here’s how to support this year’s campaign:
- For every participating product purchased in store or online at Walmart.com or SamsClub.com, the supplier will donate the monetary equivalent of at least one meal ($0.10) on behalf of a Feeding America partner food bank at Walmart and five meals ($0.50) at Sam’s Club, up to applicable limits.
- Donate at check-out in stores or clubs. Customers can also round up their purchase on Walmart.com and the Walmart app.
- Registers: Cashiers will ask customers to donate at register. Donations can be made in $1, $5 or an amount chosen by the customer/member. Customers/members can also choose to round-up their purchase to the nearest dollar. Register signs and a barcode scan sheet will be posted at each register.
- Self-Checkout: A prompt will ask “Will you donate to fight hunger?” when a customer/member selects “Finish
