National Nonprofit Day
Nonprofits throughout the country work to promote awareness and offer assistance to individuals who need support and assistance.
The Food Bank for Larimer County is one of more than 5,000 nonprofit organizations in Larimer County, Colorado. Combined, these organizations employ almost 30,000 people, earn more than $4 billion in revenue each year, and serve hundreds of thousands of people in need each year (source).
We all contribute in some manner, whether it’s by volunteering, giving, or just spreading the word about a nonprofit. Last year, more than 11,000 Food Bank for Larimer County volunteers served almost 70,000 hours and thousands more individuals were donors, contributing more 55% of our annual revenue.
We celebrate National Nonprofit Day by acknowledging our own achievements and contributions to the community as well as those of our colleague organizations, especially those with whom we have overlapping clientele. Together, we work to create options and opportunities for those in need in Larimer County.
