LARIMER COUNTY — Chick-fil-A commemorated the opening of its newest location at 1545 Rocky Mountain Ave. in Loveland by providing a generous donation to the Food Bank for Larimer County.

The funding will be allocated to help the families and children that use the Food Bank’s numerous hunger-relief programs.
One option for families is to shop at the Food Bank’s no-cost markets. Modeled after a grocery store, the markets allow for clients to grab a cart and pick out the items that will best nurture their families.
The Loveland location alone, nearest the new restaurant, provides food to more than 8,900 children whose families use this service.
The Food Bank also provides meals and snacks for children year-round through its Nutritious Kitchen. This service includes making hundreds of meals from scratch for a summer lunch service.
Many more families benefit from the Food Bank’s Cooking Matters classes, which teaches parents how to cook healthy, low-cost meals.
Communications Coordinator Kelsey Hammon said community partnerships, like this one, make a big impact in the Food Bank’s ability to provide these services.
“Every day, we see families who continue to need the Food Bank’s support to make ends meet,” Kelsey said. “We couldn’t meet this need without the support of community partners, like Chick-fil-A. Thank you for working alongside us to fight hunger.”
