Beginning July 1, 2025, we can only serve clients who live in Larimer County.
The Food Bank for Larimer County has created a new shopping policy of serving only clients who live in Larimer County and can document their address.
Additionally, the Food Bank hopes to steer people from outside of Larimer County to resources closest to where they reside, ideally offering them more convenience in getting food.
Beginning May 27th, the Food Bank will only accept new clients who live in Larimer County. All others will be advised to use a food finder map to locate resources closer to their home.
Current out-of-county residents who are already registered with us may continue using our services through June 30.
Effective July 1, all clients will be required to complete a client review at intake for the purpose of verifying their Larimer County address. To complete the review, please prepare to have a photo ID and one formal mail document with your name and current address. The mail must be dated within the last 6 months.
Everyone must complete this process, no matter how long they have been shopping with us.
FAQs about this change:
This shopping policy enforcement is the result of the Food Bank experiencing a steady increase in out-of-county demand within the past year. The Food Bank must make strategic decisions that promote resource sustainability for the county it was founded to serve.
The Food Bank also recognizes that people coming from outside of Larimer County may be exerting time and funds to travel to Larimer County. We will direct neighbors to resources in their area that may offer more convenience to get food.
Effective July 1, the Food Bank will require everyone to complete a profile review for the purpose of verifying their Larimer County address.

We respect your privacy. Clients may request to receive food anonymously, but we will still need to review the following at each visit:
- Proof of Larimer County address
- Visual verification of ID documents
Shopping anonymously means we will not record or store personal information, but you will still need to provide proof that you live in Larimer County.
We will accept a variety of forms of photo ID. As long as it has your picture and name on it, we are likely to accept it, but here are a few examples: government-issued ID, student ID, any passport, shelter ID, employment ID, etc. Please note that your ID address and mail address don’t have to match.
Please use randymajors.org/countygmap to double-check the location of your address. This is the same source the Food Bank will be using to verify addresses, if needed.
You can shop for someone else if they’ve completed a Proxy Form, provided a current photo ID or a clear photo or photocopy of their eligible photo ID, and one document showing their current address, dated within the last 6 months. A cellphone photo of these two items will be accepted. Additionally, these documents can be shown to the intake worker via video call (FaceTime, Zoom, etc) on the shopper’s cell phone.
- The provided proxy form must be signed by both of you
- You can be a proxy for more than one person
Clients who do not have an address will be asked for a photo ID the same as those with addresses. Acceptable address verification methods for people who are unhoused include:
- Use of shelter address
- Reasonable verification of living arrangements (e.g., vehicle, staying with others)
- Confirmation via school documentation (if applicable)
We can no longer continue to serve out-of-county people. All people who live outside of Larimer County will be directed to use our Food Finder map to find a more convenient location that is closest to them. Anyone using the Food Finder map should check the qualifications for the food resources they are considering.
To use the Food Finder map, enter a zip code or address in the search bar to find nearby food resources. Use filters to help you find the most convenient resource.

For those who use Grace Place Church, proof of address for either Larimer County or Berthoud will be accepted. This is because of Grace Place’s unique location.
We are not expecting or requiring our agency partners to make this change. It is important to note, however, that some of these partners may already limit service to a specific geographic area. Please be sure to check qualifications before you visit.
For our partners who use our Link2Feed system, we are asking for these agencies to at least directly ask individuals to verify their information (though proof is not required) when they shop.
