LOVELAND, COLO — December 28, 2020 — The Food Bank for Larimer County recently received a $10,000 grant from the KeyBank Foundation. This generous grant will allow the Food Bank to provide the equivalent of more than 20,000 meals to those in need in our community.
Since March, the Food Bank has seen a dramatic increase in the amount of food it is distributing through its various hunger-relief programs. During the pandemic, the Food Bank’s pantries are serving more than 500 households per day and its Nourishing Network is distributing 82 percent more food than during the same period last year. In addition, funds from this grant will support new programs created in response to the pandemic, like the Food Bank’s pop-up pantries and homebound delivery service.
“This grant from KeyBank is an example of the amazing support we are receiving from our community partners,” said Food Bank for Larimer County CEO Amy Pezzani. “During these incredibly difficult times, this grant allows us to respond to the needs of our clients as they evolve during the pandemic. We are so grateful for the support.”
