When it comes to helping more food reach more people in Larimer County, partnerships are key.
Through the Food Bank’s Nourishing Network, more than 100 charitable organizations — called agency partners — visit our warehouse location to select the nutritious food needed to fuel their hunger-relief efforts.
This partnership is critical to helping food resources stretch across Larimer County, including rural and mountainous areas.
As an extension of this partnership, the Food Bank was able to distribute $250,000 in grants to 28 agencies who applied for funding.
This generous grant cycle can largely be attributed to the incredible community response during the SNAP benefit pause in October 2025 when the government was shutdown. Because our network of partners is an integral piece to our mission to end hunger in Larimer County, the Food Bank is grateful to pass these funds along to further their hunger-relief efforts.
Some notable projects that the Food Bank was able to fund for its partners include:
- Walk-in freezers and refrigerators
- Vehicles for increased food pickup
- Culturally relevant food items
- Staff salaries
- Technology upgrades
- Facility repairs
Partners shared overwhelming thanks- many of them noting their profound gratitude for the Food Bank’s partnership and support. All grant recipients are expected to spend funds within the next year, and share with the Food Bank an impact report about how the grant positively influenced the organization’s work. The Food Bank looks forward to hearing about how these funds will make an impact on the collective work to fight hunger.
