Date: August 2026
The Food Bank for Larimer County will host its annual Taste Walkabout fundraiser from 5:30 to 7:30 pm Thursday, Sept. 3 in Old Town Fort Collins.
As a part of this event, more than 400 ticket holders will get the chance to embark on a self-guided food walking tour, featuring the best of more than 30 participating restaurants.
Each restaurant creates a small dish or “taste” to showcase their menu, enticing guests with culinary delights, like crème brûlée, steak bites, sushi and cocktail samplers, to name but a few prior hits.
“This event is such a fun way to spend an evening in Old Town Fort Collins — all while supporting the Food Bank,” said Food Bank for Larimer County CEO Amy Pezzani. “Every year, people who participate share that one of their favorite things about this event is getting to discover new restaurants, while also visiting their old favorites.”
To encourage some friendly competition among participating restaurants, ticket holders will get to cast their vote for the best restaurant dish in the Toast of the Taste survey. The votes will be tallied several days after the event and one winning restaurant will be named.
Ticket sales for the Taste Walkabout were live on Aug. 3 and sold out in just over 24 hours — marking the sixth year in a row of a sold-out event.
The Food Bank for Larimer County is a nonprofit organization that provides hunger-relief services to roughly 40,000 people facing food insecurity. All proceeds from the event support its work to fight hunger. Last year’s Taste Walkabout fundraiser raised $50,000 for the Food Bank’s programs.
This event would not be made possible without the support of the Larimer County community, local restaurant partners and sponsors.
“A big thank you to our community for your amazing response to help us fight hunger,” Pezzani said. “It’s amazing what we can accomplish when we come together for this common cause. We are deeply grateful to everyone who is taking part in this year’s event to raise money to support our programs.”
Thank you to our presenting sponsor, FNBO.
This year’s gold-level sponsors are: Advance Tank and Construction, Cargill, Dellenbach Subaru, Flood and Peterson and Hach.
