Research shows that volunteering can actually fight aging by benefitting mental health and physical fitness.

Can’t decide what to pack for lunch this work week? Need some tips to encourage your family’s pickiest eater to try vegetables? As we focus on the connection between food and health this month, we wanted to share a few expert tips from our Community Impact Coordinator-Nutrition, Agustina Niebylski, who teaches our Nutrition Matters program!

Overall, last year, more than 8,300 volunteers served 71,970 hours. In the month of December alone, volunteers worked enough hours to be equivalent to 31 full-time staff members.

Imagine having the option to bring your local farmers’ market right to your neighborhood. Thanks to a partnership between Northern Colorado Foodshed Project and the Food Bank, this possibility became a reality with the launch of the Familiar Foods van in the fall of 2025.

The Food Bank is excited to announce the debut of a brand-new vending machine that will dispense nutritious, ready-to-heat meals. Installed at a healthcare partner in November, the vending machine is now available to provide frozen meals to patients and staff at Sunrise South Loveland Community Health Center.

Giving to the Food Bank offers many benefits. Not only do you contribute to fighting hunger in Larimer County, but it’s a great way to receive a tax benefit. It’s important to note that donations do take time to process, so please give before the end of December to have your contribution processed by the end of the year. This includes IRA and QCD gifts!
